JUST FOR THE LADIES
Oklahoma has some of the greatest hunters in the country and yes, many of them are women. And there is only one program that gives women a loud and aggressive voice in the outdoors - WILD Oklahoma.
But you know what? WILD Oklahoma Women isn't just for Oklahoma hunters - women from across the nation are welcome to be a part of the WILD tradition. Hunters, anglers and female participants in the shooting sports are welcomed to participate and celebrate the joys of women and firearms.
Suzanne Black, Pro-Staff and star of WILD Oklahoma Women

Suzanne is an amazing shot, an incredible wife, great mother and certified NRA Rifle Instructor. And yes, she knows how to field dress her own kills. Suzanne is part of the Pro Staff and with Suzi Rouse (Oklahoma City Gun Club), will be star of the new WILD Oklahoma Women broadcast that you'll get glimpses of this year but will launch full-tilt in 2009. Suzanne has been a leader in encouraging other women to participate in not only the shooting sports, but in getting more women out in the field.
Suzi Rouse, WILD Oklahoma Pro-Staffer (whether she likes it or not, but we think she does)

Suzi Rouse is one of four recipients of the National Rifle Association's prestigious 2005 Marion P. Hammer Woman of Distinction Award.
Rouse formed the Oklahoma City Gun Club's women's division in 1999. Prior to that time, the club did not have any programs to encourage women's increased participation in the shooting sports. She was also the first woman to have a seat on the club's board of trustees. She was the first woman to be elected as a club officer, and currently serves president.
Her passion for introducing women to the shooting sports led Rouse to host one of the first Women On Target® instructional shooting clinics in the nation in 2000. Since that time, she has coordinated the Oklahoma City Gun Club's annual Women On Target® instructional shooting clinics (always one of the largest nationwide), and organized clinics at other clubs throughout Oklahoma. As a result, hundreds of women received an introduction to recreational shooting and basic marksmanship principles in a safe, fun and supportive atmosphere.
In addition to introducing women to recreational shooting through Women On Target®, Rouse works with hunters and shooters of all experience levels. She is an NRA Certified Firearm Instructor in four disciplines (pistol, range safety officer, rifle and shotgun); and a hunter safety education instructor. She is active in the Oklahoma Youth Hunter Education Challenge, and speaks to women's groups on topics related to the Second Amendment.
Sarah "Cupcake" Nicholas, Pro-Staff and Trail Riding Expert

I’m a farm kid from Oklahoma. I joined the Air Force right after high school. Got stationed first at Tinker in Oklahoma City, met my husband, got married, got stationed at Hickam AFB, Oahu Hawaii for three years and then I was stationed at Sheppard AFB, Tx as an instructor. I am now stationed at Tinker since I dropped down to the AF Reserve about a year and half ago to come back home to Oklahoma and settle down near my husband’s family farm in Chickasha. I have a job I love teaching at Rose State College. I love riding my horse, traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, the farm and of course the Air Force among many other hobbies.
Haleigh Larkin, Pro-Staff

Haleigh Larkin lives in Edmond and attends Memorial high school. She is planning on starting UCO in the fall for her basics and head north to Stillwater to get a degree in agribusiness. She enjoys the outdoors more than any other hobby. She shoots a Diamond bow, and usually uses a .243 Browning during rifle season. She loves fishing for any type of fish, espesically catfish. She primarily hunts deer and raccoon with her bluetick coonhound, but will soon be featured on other WILD Oklahoma Women hunts.
Haleigh became a part of the WILD Oklahoma pro-staff after winning a hunt drawing at the Oklahoma City Gun Club's Women's Fun Shoot. After spending time out in the field with Ron and Karen, we knew she would be a good fit.
Sheri Bradshaw, Pro-Staff

Sheri is a person of immeasurable patience - married to Kenny. Though not usually a hunter herself (other than a dove hunt or two), Sheri has spent many days out in the field behind the camera. You will see more of Sheri during our upcoming WILD Oklahoma camping segments. Sheri is an exceptional campfire cook and has become the camp Mom for the WILD Oklahoma crew and that often means mending the many wounds inflicted upon ourselves while falling from tree stands, breaking ground blinds and burns from our coffee pot. Sheri is mother to Alex and James, and has tolerated Kenny for 28 years.
Karen Dee, Pro-Staff

Karen is just a good Oklahoma farm girl from Isabella, who has always had passion for the Oklahoma outdoors. During the week Karen is an insurance underwriter for an agribusiness company. When she's not training for a 5k, 10k or half marathon (clearly, Karen is the most physically fit of the WILD Oklahoma pro-staff), she is busy raising Bobwhite quail, trout fishing, or predator hunting while taking care of wildlife habitat on her property. You'll enjoy watching Karen on Wild Oklahoma Television. If you noticed from one of our previous shows, Karen is an avid Sooner fan and has the Boomer Sooner fight song down pat.
